This is not a trend folks this will be the new standard of what you currently know as the internet. Pretty soon, if your not mobile ready meaning available not only on a PC but on the iPad, iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile, then your not in business. This is something that you can look past for maybe another year but you should definitely start looking for solutions that will prepare you for the mobile ecosystem.

For those of you running online stores, you especially should already be building mobile solutions for your websites. A few things happened a few weeks ago that were very interesting in the mobile commerce space, one being eBay Cyber Monday mobile sales went up 146 percent and the other is the iPhone dominated those transactions. Obviously iPhone dominates the transactions at the moment because of it’s vast popularity but iPhone’s number one competitor the Android platform has been beating out iPhone in sales for the past couple months so don’t expect those transactions to continually be dominated by the iPhone.

So what do you need to do going forward? Well if your website is running on WordPress your in good shape because there is a allot of good things happening with WordPress in the mobile space for quite some time now. If your not using WordPress, well you need to start; it’s that simple. If not WordPress I would definitely recommend running your website on a open source platform which provides you the flexibility of making changes instantly. If your running a online store or looking to launch a online store I recommend going with a newer company not stuck in the old ways, I’ve always recommended BigCommerce for building online stores because there so ahead of the curve with the BigCommerce platform. They are already mobile and social ready and even though there a hosted solution they offer a very flexible API.

I’m currently in the planning stages of building a new plugin for WordPress that will turn your website not only into a mobile website for the iPhone, Android and iPad but also publish your site as Apps for those platforms as well. I’ll let you know how that goes as I proceed.

With all these major companies setting up to control this market, we the little guys should most certainly be moving even quicker to make sure we’re ready to profit from the already billion dollar trend.

Just last month I launched my mobile entertainment site  geared towards the music market and I’ve already turned a profit with barely any traffic. The site is so new that Google hasn’t even indexed it yet. I’ve just been driving traffic to it from my personal websites. I won’t tell you the name of the site yet because I don’t want the leeches duplicating my efforts this early in game, I have to make sure I’m killing this market first before I reveal anything, the same way I do with all my other websites.

And that’s from one Affiliate network with only traffic from my internal websites, and as you can see the traffic volume isn’t even that high,  I made $1,320 with less than 1600 clicks. You guys have seen my traffic stats for my other sites 2 million visitors a month is a regular thing for me so just imagine where something like this can go. I really haven’t dialed this thing in yet with adverting, SEO, Ad Networks etc. With a little hard work this can easily become a 10k a month website in the next few months. And just think mobile is still in it’s infant stages.

If you already have a website start looking into implementing mobile apps for your site, and if your running a music site or blog and you haven’t implemented ringtones into your site yet your leaving money on the table.

How I Figured Out to Make Money with Cell Phones

I would love to take credit for being the one that came up with the idea but I wasn’t. I always had mobile offers incorporated into my site but didn’t make allot of money with it so I never gave it much attention. It wasn’t until I came across Cell Phone Treasure, a system made by this 18 year kid Adam Horwitz making a minimum of $378 per day through cell phones.

Cell Phone Treasure has video guides showing you exactly how to make real money with cell phones from setting up your site to advertising that site through mobile ad networks and more. He also logs into a couple Clickbank accounts to show you money that he’s making live with mobile offers.

In a post announcing the launch on the official PayPal blog, PayPal indicated that its mobile transactions have risen from $25 million in 2008 to $141 million in 2009 (Wow!), and it projects around $500 million in mobile transactions this year. As an industry, experts have predicted the mobile payment business to exceed $633 billion by 2014.

Shoppers need only enter their PayPal account logins when using Mobile Express Checkout, expediting the payment process by eliminating the need for reentering shipping or billing information.

This is great news since I’m in the process of having apps built for my major sites especially Mixtapes.tv, with Mobile Express Checkout I can take orders easily through mobile devices.
