My Sites:

Please note these are only site that I personally run, none of the sites that I’ve designed for clients are listed here.

iHipHopMusicHipHopMusicDotCom.com: Yes I know the name sounds ridiculous when you say it out loud but hey, it sounded like a good idea when I first bought the name. Either way the site is “Hot Shit” currently averaging 15,000 to 20,000 visitors daily with over 1.7 million page views a month. It’s not the first site I ever created but it is the first successful one. It first started out on Bogger as hip-hop-music-source.blogspot.com (yeah a even worse name) back in 2006 and is actually still there and still gets traffic. Once the site started picking up steam was right around the time I was playing around with this hot and still relatively new platform called Wordpress, back then I thought Blogger was so great but Wordpress was on another level, once I moved the site to Wordpress it took off.

Now the site is number one in Google for “hip hop music”, “new hip hop music”, “hip hop music downloads”, “hip hop gossip”, “hip hop mixtapes”. Yeah I take it you get the point I’ve pretty much mastered SEO game.

I have a new name for the website now it’s called iHipHopMusic.com, quite an improvement huh? My website naming skills has improved quite a bit. I haven’t officially moved the site yet due to the current one ranking so well in the search engines but I will get around to it at some point.

MusicVideoCastMusicVideoCast.com: this is a video sharing site which also started out on Blogger as well as a music video blog a year after I created HipHopMusicDotCom.com, it wasn’t until I received a link from BET.com which sent over 40,000 visitors to the site that I started to see true potential in the site and decided to take the site more seriously which is when I moved it to Wordpress. I’m currently working on a whole new look and functionality for the site. My aim is to one day be number one in Google for “music videos”, I know that’s quite an ambitious goal but like I said I’ve mastered the SEO game. Actually I’m already on the second page of Google for that search term and it’s already bringing me tons of traffic.

SiteBuilderTipsSiteBuilderTips.com: Nothing special about this site yet except that it’s going to become the go to site for anyone looking for information on building profitable websites from beginners to experts.  Technically speaking this site is really the first site I’ve ever created and here’s why. Back in 2005 when I first started on the internet I created a site called Glens-Website-Builders.com hosted on SuiteBuildIt. It was the first site I ever made money with through Google Adsense and Affiliate Programs, unfortunately due lack of funds at the time and not being able to make the site successful since I didn’t know a thing about building websites back then because I had no past experience, the site failed and eventually went off line after it expired.

Once I researched and read a couple books on Internet Marketing, I realized that when starting out you should pick a topic your passionate about or very knowledgeable in and then once your successful with that you can move on to a topic your interested in, you see I was interested in building websites but I had no knowledge or passion in that field. Since I have a passion for Hip Hop it was only right that I started a site about Hip Hop and this was around the time when Blogging was already in full swing and thus came the birth of the Hip Hop blog above. About 2 years later after having major success with my sites and learning so much about building, promoting and earning money from my websites, I decided to pursue a topic that had always interested me and that’s building websites.

So Glens-Website-Builders.com was back as WebsiteBuilders360.com which was a okay name and ironically also started out on Blogger, that’s always seemed to be the trend with me, build a site on Blogger and then move it to Wordpress if it appears to have potential. After not really giving it much attention for over a year I started noticing that the site was getting a little traffic from the few articles I wrote some of which were 3 year old articles that use to live on Glens-Website-Builders.com. It’s now 2009 and I became quite good a creating good website names and I now understood the importance of building a brand which is when I found SiteBuilderTips.com, I couldn’t believe it was available I bought it and immediately transferred all my files from WebsiteBuilders360.com to SiteBuilderTips.com. And thus this is how SiteBuilderTips.com was born, remember that name.

Other Project:

MixtapePlayer.com: My first subscription based site I ever built which is also powered by Wordpress (didn’t start with Blogger this time) back in 2008 and stopped development because I didn’t have the tools required to build this site the way I wanted it to function, that is until now. I’m currently in the process of building this site right now and hope to launch it in January 2010.
